Background:
Gurdeep has held the post of epidemiologist since February 2005 in the Cambridge Genetics Knowledge Park (now PHG Foundation) under the leadership of Julian Higgins and is now based at the UK HuGENet Coordinating Centre. Previously, Gurdeep graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Human Genetics. Gurdeep then studied at the University of Sheffield for an MSc in Genetic Epidemiology, Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and  PhD.

Current research interests and activities:
Gurdeep has broad research interests in systematic reviews and meta-analysis of gene-disease and gene-environment associations. He is currently involved in gene-disease and gene-gene-environment interaction systematic reviews across several diseases such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and lung cancer as well as some methodological work.
